words matterWords have more power than we often realise. They have the power to hurt or heal, persuade or dissuade, inform, encourage or discourage, inspire or enlighten. The way you use words in every day writing is important. Check over what you have written. Have you used strong verbs and adjectives in your writing? Have you varied the length of your sentences to make it more interesting? Have you written something worth reading? Take a look at the 'Language is Music' image below and read through the text. Think carefully about the sentence length that is used and note how the writing becomes much more interesting when the writer begins to vary their sentence lengths.
